"Reclaiming our Heritage"


One weekend a year Nederland hosts real miners, competing in real mining competitions for prize money. The Nederland area is home to several National Champions and miners from all over the country have competed here. The weekend competition is a show of great physical skill and a celebration of the heritage of this area.
The weekend also hosts events for children, an arts and crafts fair, food and fun...

  • Bow Sawing
  • Double Jack Drilling
